"George Lopez is a great singer, and he sounded good when he sang. He made a dramatic entrance on stage and his songs began. He requested no flash video or photography for his concert. After singing short portions, he would back up from the mic, mouth the words to his own songs. I noticed immediately that he really wasn't singing his songs. Mind you, he was a track act. It felt like we were in the studio with him while he played snippets of his songs.
He left the stage twice to do cute costume changes (but definitely not necessary!). Toward the end, the stage hands set up a piano, and George Lopez comes out to finish his last set from behind it. He starts playing and singing over chords to warm up to the piano. He sounded great and it added a sexy mood to the room. He cracked a few jokes, sang an oldie but goodie slowly, sang about three songs, and interacted with the crowd. This was the best part of the concert! I wish he had performed from behind the piano the entire time.
I wouldn't recommend George Lopez unless he was with a band. Maybe then he will sing more."
